Jennifer Chase-Dunn, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Jennifer Chase-Dunn joined Greenville Ob/Gyn in 2000. She grew up in Montreal and then relocated to South Carolina where she received her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston. After teaching special education for several years she returned to medical school and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina. She continued on there to complete both her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, finishing in 2000. Dr. Chase-Dunn is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association and the South Carolina Ob/Gyn Society. She is the proud mother of Crawford, McKenzie and Newlin. In her spare time she enjoys cycling and running and occasionally gets to some needlework.
Jonathan Q. Bailey, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Bailey has been with Greenville Ob/Gyn since August 2001. He is from Danville, Kentucky but attended Furman University from 1989 to 1993 before returning to Kentucky to attend the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where he graduated With Distinction in 1997. He then moved to Charlotte, NC where he completed his residency training in Ob/Gyn at Carolinas Medical Center. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Greenville County Medical Society and has presented research at the Annual Meeting of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists in 2001. During medical school and residency he was an active participant in the Big Brother program and the Furman Admissions Network. He is married to Blair Hines Bailey, a Greenville native and Furman alumnus as well. They are the proud parents of two boys.
Roger H. Gower, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Gower, a native of Greenville, S.C., has been with Greenville Ob/Gyn Associates since 1982. He received his undergraduate education at Emory University and obtained his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1977. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida and then returned to the Medical University of South Carolina where he completed his residency training in Ob/Gyn in 1982. After residency Dr. Gower moved back to Greenville and joined Greenville Ob/Gyn Associates. He is Board Certified in Ob/Gyn and participates in voluntary annual recertification. Dr. Gower has served as president of the Greenville Memorial Hospital Medical Staff and has been a board member of both the American Red Cross and the United Way Campaign and the Upcountry History Museum. He volunteers his time at the Greenville Free Medical Clinic, serves as an attending physician in the Ob/Gyn Residency Program, is an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where he is a former elder, and is a member of the Rotary Club and the Greenville County Medical Society. Since 1996 Dr. Gower has been honored yearly as one of the “Best Doctors in America.” Dr. Gower enjoys all aspects of Ob/Gyn and has a special interest in hysteroscopic surgery and endometrial ablation. He is married to Ellen Jennings Gower and is the proud father of four children.
Eric H. Troutman, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Troutman joined Greenville Ob Gyn Associates in 1989. A native of Burlington, North Caolina, he graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University and received his M.D. from Wake Forest University. He completed Ob/Gyn Residency training at Greenville Hospital System. Dr. Troutman is Board Certified in Ob/Gyn and is annually re-certified. He is active in the Greenville County Medical Society, and is the Society President in 2002. He volunteers at the Free Medical Clinic and is a charter member of “Medwell Access” program, which seeks to meet the needs of the medically underserved in Greenville County. Dr. Troutman and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children, Susan and Nathan. Most of the family’s free time is spent at the children’s sports activities, but the parents also participate in skiing and scuba-diving.
Stephen W. Price, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Price has been practicing medicine in Greenville for more than ten years. After growing up in Clover, South Carolina, he attended the College of Charleston where he graduated cum laude, receiving a bachelor of science degree in biology. From there he attended the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. Internship and residency were completed at Greenville Hospital System. Dr. Price is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has received the Thompson A. Gailey Award for Academic Achievement and was recognized for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Price is married to Lynn B. Price. Outside interests and activities are mainly centered around spending time with his family. He also enjoys boating, both snow and water skiing, and an occasional bad round of golf.
Stella Walvoord, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Walvoord joined Greenville Ob/Gyn Associates in August 2009. A native of Irmo, SC, she graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia Honors Program. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her Ob/Gyn Residency training at Greenville Hospital System, where she was awarded the Golden Scalpel Award for surgical excellence. Dr. Walvoord is board certified. She is a member of the South Carolina Ob/Gyn Society and serves on the Medical Committee for the GHS chapter of March of Dimes. She is married to Benji Walvoord. Her free time is mostly spent keeping up with her children, but she loves to travel with her family.
Erin Thurston, M.D.
Dr. Thurston recently joined Greenville Ob/Gyn Associates in August 2012. She was born and raised in Arlington, TX. She attended Texas Tech University for both her undergraduate degree and for medical school. She then moved to Greenville, SC for her Ob/Gyn residency at Greenville Hospital System. During residency she was awarded the Golden Scalpel Award, the John V. Dacus Award for Excellence in Obstetrics, the Society for Laparoscopic Surgeons Award for Excellence in Laparoscopy, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Dr. Thurston is board eligible. She is a member of the Greenville County Medical Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She is married to Brian Thurston. She spends her free time running and working out, as well as spending time with her pets.
